Arboretum

On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, we went for a hike in the Eastern Connecticut State University Arboretum. It was my first time experiencing that part of campus, and I thought it was very interesting to learn about the different plants, trees, animals, etc., right in our own backyard. It was a nice experience, but I still do not see the connection between this class, Wiki's, Widgets, and Blogs, Oh, My! and the hike. Nonetheless, it was a great way to escape the classroom for change, and enjoy the beautiful, sunny day.

Summer

I can not wait until summer. I am excited to be home with my best friends from high school. It's been difficult going to a different school from them, and I miss them a lot. We are trying to plan a vacation for this summer, but it is not going as well as I would have hoped. My summer is going to be very busy because I'm working two jobs, taking two summer classes, and playing on a softball team in my town. I hope I am able to balance everything, and still have time for fun!

Stress

I have a test on Thursday, April 22nd in my math class. I am worried because I do not fully understand all of the concepts that are going to be on the test. I went to see my teacher this morning for extra help during her office hours, and I will go to see her again Thursday morning right before the test. I will do my best to study tonight and tomorrow in the hopes that I will be able to understand all of the information needed. This test could make or break my grade, therefore it is very important.

Hunger

I am absolutely starving right now, and I would LOVE to eat something. I only had a cereal bar for breakfast because at the time, I was not very hungry. Now that nearly three hours have passed since breakfast, I find that I am hungry for a substantial meal.

FIT

Next year, I will be transferring from Eastern Connecticut State University to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Ever since I was younger, it has always been a dream of mine to live in New York City. I am in shock that it is actually happening, and so soon! I am incredibly nervous because it is the exact opposite of Eastern. It is going to be a very big adjustment for me, and it is hard to tell if I made the right decision. I have never dealt with change well in my life, but I am hoping a change this drastic will be a good way for me to get used to leaving my comfort zone. I hoping I will love it, but if I don't, I may just come back to Eastern. I figured if I didn't give it a try, I would regret it.
